Personal Cleanliness
Take note of your personal cleanliness at all times, especially cleanliness around the genital area. Clean with
a wipe after urinating and keep it dry. Wear cotton underwear instead of underwear made of synthetic material.
Cotton underwear absorb the moisture and evaporates the moisture, while synthetic materials trapped the moisture in
the private areas.
Bacteria survives well in warm and moist condition, hence keeping the privates dry is a great prevention
method.
After intercourse, clean your private area to prevent the bacteria and other germs from getting into contact
with the opening of the urethra.
Personal Diet
Maintain a health diet to keep UTI and other diseases at bay. Drink sufficient amount of water to ensure
that your urine is not stored for more than 6 hours in your bladder. Most of the bacteria are flushed out together
with the pee whenever your visit the toilet.
